Terms of Use

Effective: July 17, 2026 · CargoQuill for iOS

These Terms form an agreement between you and independent developer Jianhui Liu concerning your use of CargoQuill. By using the app, you accept these Terms.

1. Service

CargoQuill helps users enter shipment data and generate Packing Lists, Commercial Invoices, Proforma Invoices, Container Lists, PDFs, and reusable business records. It may provide templates, calculations, completion guidance, import tools, and optional private iCloud synchronization.

2. Your responsibility for documents

CargoQuill is a productivity tool, not a customs broker, freight forwarder, accountant, lawyer, tax adviser, or government authority. Requirements vary by transaction, jurisdiction, carrier, bank, customs authority, and customer. The app may allow generation when fields are incomplete so businesses can issue drafts early. You must review every document, identify drafts or estimates appropriately, obtain missing information, and confirm accuracy, legal sufficiency, tariff treatment, Incoterms, taxes, values, weights, parties, sanctions, and filing requirements before relying on or sending it.

3. License and acceptable use

We grant you a limited, personal or internal-business, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use CargoQuill under these Terms and Apple’s rules. You may not reverse engineer where prohibited, disrupt the service, bypass purchase controls, resell access, infringe rights, or use the app for fraud, sanctions evasion, unlawful trade, or misleading documents.

4. Your content

You retain responsibility for and rights in information you enter. You confirm that you have authority to process and share it. You grant only the limited permission technically necessary for the app and selected platform services to store, sync, process, export, and display it at your direction.

5. Purchases

CargoQuill may include one free document pack and a one-time, non-consumable Pro purchase. Apple controls billing, taxes, storefront pricing, payment confirmation, and refunds. Pro is not an auto-renewing subscription. Details are in the Membership Agreement.

6. Third-party services

Apple services may provide distribution, payment, iCloud, CloudKit, backup, document selection, and sharing. RevenueCat supports purchase validation. Their terms and availability also apply, and we are not responsible for third-party outages or policy decisions.

7. Availability and updates

We may maintain, update, change, or discontinue parts of the app to improve security, compliance, compatibility, or functionality. Offline features may remain available, while purchases and iCloud synchronization require compatible Apple services and connectivity.

8. Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, CargoQuill is provided “as is” and “as available,” without guarantees that documents will be accepted or error-free. We are not liable for losses caused by incorrect or incomplete user data, rejected filings, customs decisions, delays, penalties, lost profits, or third-party services. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the app at any time. We may restrict abusive or unlawful use. Sections that logically survive termination—including responsibility, intellectual property, disclaimers, and liability limits—continue to apply.

10. Changes and contact

We may revise these Terms prospectively. Continued use after notice means acceptance where permitted by law. Mandatory consumer protections in your country continue to apply. Questions may be submitted at CargoQuill Support.
